Welcome to the April Huon Valley Service Providers Network E‑News. As we move into autumn across the valley, it’s a great time to reconnect, share what’s coming up for your service, and keep strengthening the local networks that support community wellbeing.

This creative de-stress session includes mindful drawing the breath, watercolour and collage.
Simple art as meditation for self-care.
This is a taste of a 10-week mindful art program that starts in Term 2 (May 2026) in Huonville.
When: Thursday 16 April, 10-11:30am.
Where: Huon Valley Hub, Main Street Huonville
Cost: $30, includes all materials.
2 workshops will be offered across the Huon Valley in May/June.

This Youth Week, we’re bringing the celebration to you!

Anglicare Tasmania invites the community to take part in an honest conversation about how online gambling harms young people, how quickly it can escalate, and ways we can help to minimise the risks.
When: Tuesday 14 April
1.30-3.30pm for industry only and 6-8.30pm for the general community.

Preventive Health Conference 2026

The Migrant Mums & Bubs Group is a space for women who have migrated to Australia at any time to meet with their babies (aged under 12 months).
The group is free and runs on Wednesday mornings from 10.30am to noon during school terms.
Please call on 0362 313 212 or just come along on the day-25 Lefroy St, North Hobart.
This is an opportunity for people to catchup for a cuppa, chat and to find out what is happening in the area. They are hosted by volunteers and are casual. It is also a great opportunity for local services to pop in and catch up with people.

The Link Youth Health Service will be running 'Side Hustle 101'.
A FREE session for young people aged 15-25 who have an idea for a small business but don't know where to start.
